Don't get carried away by the things that don't matter, the temporary and peripheral treasures in Egypt when there are better things in Canaan. The whole point is that you should stay focused and purposeful when it comes to the vision of your life. Don't let anything distract you from your assignment and God's expectation of you. Keep your vision in front of you always, and if that project or that opportunity does not align with your assignment, it's okay to let it go.
Discover who you are, find yourself, do whatever it takes to explore and fully understand what you carry within you. I believe the discovery of God opens you up to the discovery of who you are. You can't go through life purposefully without discovering yourself. Simply put. In all your knowing, know God and know yourself.
Desires are really strong reflections of your passion. When I had the desire to participate in a reality TV show, it was one desire that I had but didn't know how it would come to pass until recently, when I had the opportunity and God did make a way to make this desire of mine a reality. Being a part of the Next Titan Reality Business Show was one experience I would not forget in my life time, though it was just the boot camp I attended, it was worth it. Desire is the first step to receiving anything, so in desiring, don't settle for less.
As you go through life, you'll come in contact with some people that would help bring out the worst in you rather than your best; they'll make your weaknesses and things you've left in the past like bad habits and attitudes thrive. It's important you walk away from them cause connecting with the wrong people would birth wrong choices.
Hey! I want to marry a good looking, cultured, intelligent, romantic, godly, tongue-speaking, hardworking, gorgeous, focused, visionary, cooking savvy, business minded, loving and peaceful woman... okay before you start mentioning all the details in the really long list, make sure you become who you desire. I know you're going to be complementing her but at least make sure you prepare yourself to look good not just on the outside but on the inside with the qualities and virtues you desire as well.
Frankly, life won't always be all jelly and jolly. But when you go through hard times and things you don't expect happen or you get disappointed and heart broken; look at life and say to yourself, ''I'll never lose my joy''. Remember that God is in control. Wear a big smile anyways.
Some ladies marry because almost all their friends are married or they think that they just need a man in their lives to cater for their emotional and financial needs. God weighs the intentions of your heart. As sacred as marriage is, don't make the mistake of marrying for the wrong reasons. Marry for purpose and with purpose. Just like we were formed by God to bring Him delight, a man and woman should come together in marriage to show forth God's praise in a 'ten thousand' measure.
If you have people in your life that want to go, it's okay release them. Some people are good for a conversation, while some others are good for a life time. You can't force friendships, if you start by forcing it, you'll keep it by forcing it all the way.
Have you ever woken up and you just felt really upset about something you couldn't place your hands on. You couldn't figure out any concrete reason and you didn't have any bad dream either but you just felt depressed, upset and unhappy. Some times, it could be because you forgot to count your blessings, what's working in your life and what's going great for you but you had time to think and meditate on the many things that isn't working for you or you don't have yet. Choose the gratitude mood over that mood; you know what I'm talking about!
One of the laws of personal success I shared in my book that I'm currently writing is the law of precision. Precision is a result of focus. The more focused you are about attaining something, the more attention you'll give to it. When you find your focus, it defines your desires, what and who you give attention to and where you go. It helps you look for the right things and look up to the right people, all aligned to your defined focus and ultimate goal. Retreat if you have to but make sure you find the focus of your life per time.
